Denise Baldwin
Denise' Baldwin is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, director and instructor originally from the Pittsburgh area.  Known for her powerful, polished vocals, she's mastered the ability to jump genres from rock to pop to soul to country; and capably accompanies herself on her 12-string Martin guitar.  Debuting October 2005 on Q94 Classic Rock in Altoona was her first CD recorded at Audible Images, Pittsburgh; engineered by Hollis Greathouse and four-time Grammy Award winner, Jay Dudt.  'Standing in the Rain', a cut from her CD, received status as one of the 'Top 10 Songs of 2005' by Jim Price of Q94 and Pennsylvania Musicians' Magazine.  Denise' was a finalist for two years in the Greensburg 'Concerts in the Park' Acoustic Singer/Songwriter Challenge.

High-energy acoustic' best describes her usual performance style of covers from the 1960's to present, but she can easily slip right into the 30's and 40's depending on the audience.  She is currently performing in Somerset, Cambria, Fayette, Blair, Allegheny, and Westmoreland .Counties at resorts, clubs and festivals.  Traversing into other musical styles, she is enjoying her position as the director of the adult and children's choirs, and cantor of St. Anne Church in Davidsville.  Frequently she sings and plays for wedding ceremonies and funerals in the area, and has just begun giving guitar lessons.  Denise' has been involved in music all her life starting with Special and Traveling Choruses under direction of Richard Zana.

She switched to bass guitar for several years and played in a number of musicals.  Making her living solely with music during the 80's, she performed with a variety of rock bands as a lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, playing extensively throughout the western half of PA and eastern half of Ohio and had been the opening act for Huey Lewis & the News, Donnie Iris, and Southside Johnny.  Additionally, she is one of the founding members of SONGWORKS, a group of local musicians dedicated to creating a supportive environment for regional songwriters.  It is a new division of Bottleworks Ethnic Arts Center in Johnstown.

One year ago, Denise joined Roy Milstead to form a dynamic acoustic duo recently named Two Far Gone.   Besides performing original songs, their polished lead vocals, interwoven with tight harmonies and musicianship allow them to cover a wider variety of pop/rock music from the 60’s to present.  In addition to six and 12-string guitars, both play bass guitar which adds a rhythmic drive to their music. This 3-dimensional sound sets Roy and Denise apart from most other acoustic duos. Denise’s originals led them to the finals in the 2007 Pittsburgh Acoustic Challenge this past October.
